Far beyond the limits of visible light, where the Ethereal Threads end, lies a world shrouded in primordial silence. This is the World of Darkness, not the darkness that brings evil, but the darkness that grants peace and the beginning of all things. At the very center of this world rises the Temple of Eternity, where the Twin Gods reside.

They are the living symbol of Circulation. One of them holds the Cup of Withering, the other the Cup of Rebirth. Their dance contains the central truth of the Structure: nothing can be born without first dying, and no light can be seen without a shadow.

The Creator entrusted them with the most difficult task—to ensure that the worlds do not stagnate. It is the Twins who channel the energy of departed generations back to the source, so that it can be purified and return to the Fifth Generation as a clean slate.
